This is so important to remember. Thanks for sharing it. It is so easy to get pulled into a conversation that goes south and then shows up as a quote in a newspaper or on a blog. That isn't to say that one should be so guarded as to stifle honesty or candor, but a bit more kindness and courtesy can carry us pretty far.

You are indeed always marketing, always selling, always representing your brand -- with a little practice we can engage our brains into gear before speaking and show our professionalism and humanity.
