Good thoughts, Bob and John David. Everyone in the sales & marketing industry is familiar with the concept of "casting a wide net," but rarely is that approach tied to giving ... it's usually done to get rather than give.

It's cliche to say "pay it forward," but I think the biggest hidden benefit of your approach is inspiration. By reaching so many people in a positive way, you motivate them to do the same in their circles, creating a ripple effect.
