Having just read my last post it is easy to see why i prefer face to face - sorry about the typo!!

It is noticeable in the alews courses we teach that face to face skills and telephone communication skills are declining. This is great news for companies that 'take the bull by the horns' and invest in training. Not so good news for companies that don't.

I would add two thoughts, Kelley.

First, especially as it pertains to prospecting, email is a poor substitute--as it requires no action on the part of the prospect. They can simply choose to ignore it.

Second, I would add that the same could be said of social networking, which, don't get me wrong, is a useful tool, but should not be used exclusively as a way to avoid phone work.
